The vision of a then small child to do great things is what inspired Team Nicky. 2014 I was competing in my first Ironman Triathlon in Lake Placid New York. My family and my children were going to be there to cheer me on. When I asked Dominic what our team name should be he said it should be Team Nicky. I asked him why, and he said simple dad, “I never give up” and the rest was history. I did not get the finish that day but it wasn’t due to giving up. So we carried that over to our mission now and our team is as strong as ever.
We are a 501(c)(3) organization that prides ourself on our minimal footprint. All our members are made up of family, friends, and volunteers so we have minimal expenses and we never draw salaries, bonuses, or pay structures so that we can ensure every penny you give goes to our cause. If we have any money left at the end of the year then we did not give enough to those that need us most.
While our focus is community first, we are open to anyone and everyone that needs help. When traditional resources run dry you can count on us to be there when you need it the most.
By hosting events such as bowling outings, golf outings, run/walk events and many other activities we have planned we should have an outlet for anyone that wants to get out and make a difference. If there is an activity you enjoy and you would like us to consider it, by all means please let us know and we will bring it to our board for consideration. No idea is a bad idea.
